EXTRACT DOMAINS

This function extract domain names from URL contained in selected cell & add them in adjacent column.

To use this function you need to perform 2 steps:

Step 1: Open the Excel worksheet which has URLs
Step 2: Click on 'Extract Domains' function of PPC Time Saver

In the example above, URL have sub-domains, domains, path & variables. 'Extract Domain' function removes everything else except the domain name and add it to next column

If you have a list of thousands of URLs in Excel file. They're full length, including folders, variables, etc. and You'd like to produce a list of the domains for further analysis.

'Placement performance report' from Adwords provides data of impressions, clicks, cost etc. of all the URLs of the campaign. Pivot table submerses the URLs. To extract domains from the URLs is relatively difficult.

'Extract Domains' function of PPC Time Saver parses the URL's, removes any 'http[s]:// prefix' and any '/path suffix' and adds it in a new column.
